CallumCallum had attended various training providers and had not achieved his career goals, although Callum was quiet shy he was confused and was often told conflicting information so he just did not know what to do

Callum was unsure of what he wanted to do through various placement opportunities, Callum found his ideal career within retail.

Employer quote: Please send me more young people like Callum, we are so pleased with his attitude towards work, its great working with a charity that supports local people

rrTony came to Restore Resettle with an interest of working within the Motor Industry, he was interested in the valeting side in particular due to him enjoying cleaning his mum’s car on weekends. He also wanted to work in valeting as this will enable him to gain more knowledge about cars and the Motor Industry as well as help him work towards his career goal of being a Body Spray Painter. Tony was successful in securing a work experience placement at Phillip Middleton Motors in Grimsby; his main duties were cleaning the cars, polishing the cars as well as learning how to do alloy and wheel trims and learning how to do cosmetic repairs on cars such as covering up scratches on the paintwork and covering up cigarette burns on the seats.

After being on placement for six weeks and impressing his employer Tony was successful in gaining employment with Phillip Middleton Motors working as a Valeter, this will enable Tyrece to gain more skills and experience within the Motor Industry as well as earning a weekly wage. Tyrece will also be working towards a Level 2 qualification in Customer Service which will enable him to improve his self-confidence and communication with others.

paulWhen Paul can to Restore and Resettle he lacked confidence and self-esteem.

Paul had previously been passed around with different training providers thinking he was progressing in life but really getting nowhere, through working with Restore Resettle he became a much more confident person, taking part in group activities and making friends within the classroom.

It took 12 weeks working will Paul for us to gain is trust

Paul started his work experience placement with Hull Stevedors for 5 weeks, they were very happy with Pauls commitment and hard work they then offered Paul full time employment within their company.

Paul now has a different life style; he has a reason to get up in a morning

Sometimes all we need a  chance and opportunity
